Book tour! Signed copies! Pre-order campaign! This newsletter has it ALL...
Hello hello, friends! I hope this spring is treating you fabulously so far! I have a lot to share with you today about the release of Wild About You, so buckle up + bear1 with me pls!
Signed copies are now available to pre-order!
I’ve once again partnered with my local independent bookstore, Joseph-Beth, to be able to provide y’all with signed copies of Wild About You, plus either of my first two books! You can find all of those on my launch event page here:
When you order a signed copy from JB, you’ll also automatically get a set of Wild About You stickers designed by yours truly!
Did you already order elsewhere (such as the Barnes & Noble 25% off pre-order sale happening now through 4/19) and still want stickers? Fill out this form and I’ll send some your way, along with a signed bookplate to stick in your book! Open internationally until midnight on release day, 5/21/24.

If you can’t make it to those stops, there will be some other chances for us to hang out this year at book festivals, YAY!! Getting to go to more festivals is something I’ve wanted for so long, and super-publicist Lili has been working her tail off to make it happen. We ❤️ Lili! I’ll have more to share soon, but for starters, I’ll be at Y’AllWest on May 4th in Santa Monica, CA, with the new imprint publishing my books, Delacorte Romance! Come to “Reading Romance with Love, Underlined” in the Multi-Purpose Room at 1:00 to hang out with fellow romance readers & authors for a Q&A and game of romance bingo! This is obvi a little before the release of Wild About You, but I’m so excited to celebrate it early, along with the other amazing romance titles coming out in the imprint’s launch season. I’m not going to have an ~official~ author signing time/tent, but I’d be thrilled to rogue-sign any books anywhere, so be sure to say hi if you see me!
…okay actually that’s all the book stuff for now!
Not so bad, right?? It just took a while for me to get all these ducks in a row and I’ve felt extra behind schedule this time around. Sending this newsletter feels a little like I’m running in at the last minute (aka just under 5 weeks) before the book comes out, shouting HEY PLEASE ORDER A SIGNED COPY AND ALSO COME TO ONE OF MY EVENTS BECAUSE IT’LL BE REAL EMBARRASSING IF NOBODY SHOWS UP OR WANTS SIGNED BOOKS FROM ME BUT ALSO I UNDERSTAND IF YOU CAN’T AND THIS IS A LOT OF INFORMATION TO TAKE IN SO ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE BANDWIDTH RN OKAY BUT ALSO IT’D REALLY HELP ME OUT A LOT IF YOU COULD KEEP SUPPORTING ME FOR THIS THIRD GO-AROUND EVEN AFTER YOU’VE DONE A LOT TO SUPPORT ME WITH BOOKS ONE AND TWO AND I CAN ONLY ASK SO MUCH OF YOU BUT MY CAREER STILL FEELS LIKE A FRAGILE BABY BIRD THAT NEEDS ALL THE HELP IT CAN GET OR MAYBE THAT’S JUST MY PRE-BOOK-RELEASE MENTAL HEALTH HA HA XO LOVE YA!
In other news, I’m still slowly but surely(-ish) chipping away at Book 4, which is a whole story for another newsletter probably a good ways into the future because I don’t think I’ll be done for a while yet 🥲 but this has been my toughest drafting experience to date! Largely because I’ve been in a rough spot mentally/creatively for the last year+ and haven’t quite found my way out. But as every book I’ve published so far has ended with (**Wild About You spoiler alert**) one or more characters going to therapy2, I’ve tried to practice what I preach by getting back into therapy myself. Last fall was the first time I talked to a therapist since before my career in publishing began, and boy was it a hilarious and weird experience trying to explain the last four years of my life to a newcomer, let alone the everyday ins and outs of this line of work. Then she got a new job!! So I’ve just begun looking for another and starting the process all over, now incorporating the recently added abandonment issues caused by my last therapist’s career change! Just kidding about the last part. Not kidding about all the weird hilarity though. “Today, I want to talk about my toxic relationship with Canva.” —kidding again, I haven’t talked about Canva in therapy…YET. Do you think my therapists think I’m funny?
Other ways I’ve been spending non-writing, non-book-promoting time are:
cross-stitching a gigantic project that I’m finally getting close to finishing and will be excited to show off!
working outside in my flower beds, planting new things, watching the old start to come back, nearly destroying my body while reinstalling pavers, all sorts of satisfying projects
hanging out with my sweet baby puppy Jolene! She just started obedience class so she’s about to be the most polite and calm little lady in the world in addition to being the cutest.
Thank you so much, as always, for all your love + support! It means more than I can say. Until May, a.k.a. Wild About You release month, in case you somehow forgot…!
xoxo,
Kaitlyn
ha ha it’s a Wild About You joke 🐻
This isn’t really deliberate, I promise! It just keeps happening!! Everyone can benefit from therapy I guess!!!
I bet your therapist thinks you're HILARIOUS. I bet they look forward to your sessions. Just preordered!
